Yes, Matt, those free avenues of marketing are really important and help you have more frequencies where you and your programs show up. I'll definitely write about these things more. Thank you!

I'd like to get a strategy in place that reaches out in specific ways to leverage specific online tools (social media, meetup groups, email, blogsite). A way to have a fresh voice and an intention for each tool (ie twitter for inspiring quotes and course offering announcements), building trust and inviting people into my practice.

Maybe we could do a vulcan mind-meld, Carol, and you'll have all that stuff in my head. Watch out though, might be too much too soon! No really, thanks so much for these specific things. Can do and will do. Your wish is my command.

Yep, I'm a graduate of Rhonda's Ideal Coaching Market. And, Leslie and Sylvia, I can tell you it is worth every penny. (Unsolicited testimonial here!)

Rhonda, what I could really use in 2010 is:
1. Info about blogging and blog sites as it applies to my coaching business.
2. How to use social media/networking effficiently and effectively so it pays off for my business.
3. A real, honest-to-goodness book where I can access all that information you have in your head!

Truly, Sylvia. This is exactly what I teach in my workshop: How to Choose & Champion Your Ideal Coaching Market. In fact, that's the language I use. When you target a viable market, research what makes them tick and design your services to serve them -- you become an essential support person for them. It seems like magic, but it's just good sense. There's still room for you in the January 12 workshop. http://idealcoachingmarket.com

Exquisitely effective at marketing. A smart goal, Leslie!

I really feel for ya about not being inspired by marketing. I felt like that when I wasn't getting results early on in my coaching biz. My approach was weak. I was trying so hard to sell my coaching and only the initiated were buying.

Marketing in a way that gets results is fun and you can actually make money by marketing! You can market less if your marketing is focused on a viable group. Have you considered targeting a viable coaching market? It's different than niching. And it makes marketing so exquisitely effective. You'll be great at it and it won't bother you anymore.
